20th Meeting of the CAMPFIRE Advisory Board in Berlin, February 18, 2026

Our 20th Advi­sory Board meeting took place in the beau­tiful new faci­li­ties of IKEM – the Insti­tute for Climate Protec­tion, Energy, and Mobi­lity. In addi­tion to current topics regar­ding the conso­li­da­tion of the alli­ance, the focus was on our acti­vi­ties at the Poppen­dorf site in CAMPFIRE AG’s Green Ammonia Chem­Park. The first buil­ding block for the Green Ammonia Chem­Park was created by the alli­ance part­ners with the CAMPFIRE Open Inno­va­tion Lab. The alli­ance leader­ship also reported to the advi­sory board on the launch of three new CAMPFIRE projects at the begin­ning of the year: the Clean Hydrogen JU EU project COUPLE, with CAMPFIRE AG parti­ci­pa­ting as a partner, as well as the BMWE projects Neilos and NH3Avi, and the alliance’s other current project deve­lo­p­ments in the field of ammonia energy. Starting in April, the CAMPFIRE site in Poppen­dorf will be trans­ferred to a newly founded rese­arch insti­tute, CAMPFIRE Open Inno­va­tion Lab gGmbH, estab­lished by CAMPFIRE AG and three insti­tu­tional part­ners, and operated for tech­no­logy deve­lo­p­ment in an open-air labo­ra­tory and industry-rele­vant envi­ron­ment.  We would like to express our sincere thanks to our advi­sory board for their valuable ideas and recom­men­da­tions, as well as their long-stan­ding and reliable support.
