A very sunny and well-attended EnergieTag MV yesterday on the beautiful Anklam market square in Vorpommern. Organized by Torsten Peters of Hansestadt Anklam, opened by Mayor Michael Gallander and excellently moderated by Dr Robert Brandt and Anika Schwalbe from the Agency for Renewable Energies (AEE), around 20 companies and associations presented their activities for the ramp-up of renewable energies as part of the energy transition. Many Anklam residents and their guests took advantage of this opportunity to exchange ideas with people with experience and experts. We had many good discussions at the CAMPFIRE stand — for example with citizens who have long been opposed to new wind turbines. We discussed with them the great opportunity that regionally produced green ammonia offers for resilient energy storage and local value creation. There was also lively interest from regional farmers on the subject of ammonia engines for agricultural machinery and ammonia CHP units. We were also delighted that our Minister of Economic Affairs, Wolfgang Blank, stopped by.
The whole event was framed by a great program for children and adults — including a solar boat race on the Greifenbrunnen, Segways course and culinary delights from regional producers and atmospheric musical entertainment by the Pomeranian Wind Orchestra. A really great day all round — thank you for letting us be part of it!
