HiPowAR Meeting at IKTS in Hermsdorf, 01. — 02. April 2025

At our HiPowAR project meeting at Fraun­hofer IKTS in Herms­dorf, the team reported great progress in the imple­men­ta­tion of the membrane reactor for the pres­sur­e­less combus­tion of ammonia. Using 300 tubular perovs­kite membranes, up to 50 bar oxygen is intro­duced into the fuel for an effi­cient self-compres­sing combus­tion process. In a future step, which will focus on the deve­lo­p­ment of a pilot plant, this inno­va­tive tech­no­logy will be coupled with a steam expander to gene­rate electricity.
