We were celebrating the opening of the Ammonia-to-Power & Power-to-Ammonia test fields that were developed by the CAMPFIRE partners over the past four years within the frame of the flagship project TransHyDE.
This is the start of a green ammonia institute joint venture in the metropol region GREATER ROSTOCK that is implemented in Poppendorf as part of the roadmap of the CAMFIRE Alliance by the CAMPFIRE AG and partner research instutites for development and transfer of core technologies for ammonia as a major future energy vector for decarbonization of the global economy.
This first building block of the Green Ammonia ChemPark includes test sites for a 1 MW ammonia CHP, a 350 kW ammonia ICE for inland water way shipping, 15–200 kW flexible ammonia synthesis plant and a functional model flexible shore-to-ship refuelung station — operation start in October.
The achievement of this major milestone for CAMPFIRE & TransHyDE is a success of the partners of CF06_3, CF08_2, CF10_3 and CF12_1 joint projects.
