CAMPFIRE & TransHyDE at the E‑world energy and water, Essen, 13th Februar 2025

Jens Wart­mann, CAMPFIRE Head of Tech­no­logy & Stra­tegy, presented his talk at the Hydrogen Solu­tions Forum at the E‑world on the key role of green ammonia for the ramp-up of a hydrogen economy, inclu­ding a bril­liant contri­bu­tion from CAMPFIRE partner Frie­de­rike Dahlke-Wallat, DST, with regard to ammonia supply by means of inland water ship­ping. We are very proud that Jens provided a compre­hen­sive over­view of cutting-edge green ammonia tech­no­lo­gies that are deve­loped by the CAMPFIRE alli­ance and their great poten­tial to over­come many hurdles that are curr­ently given for the hydrogen market ramp-up. Ammonia does not compete with grid-based hydrogen but is needed as a comple­men­tary, compre­hen­sive solu­tion for the rapid deve­lo­p­ment of a hydrogen economy in the hinter­land, offe­ring truly resi­li­ence and secu­rity of green energy supply. Ammonia trans­port modes are scalable and flexible – they grow with demand and can be expanded quickly.
