CAMPFIRE partner workshop for product category 1: ‘Electoceramic thin film’

27 February 2020. The part­ners for product cate­gory 1, ‘Elec­tro­ce­ramic thin film’, held their first work­shop of the imple­men­ta­tion phase on 27 February 2020. Work­shop guests included renowned scien­tists from all over Germany, inclu­ding leading inter­na­tional experts in the fields of ceramic mate­rials, membranes and cata­lysis. We would espe­ci­ally like to thank the follo­wing people for their keynote spee­ches and their valuable input for the imple­men­ta­tion of CAMPFIRE project plans: Professor Jürgen Caro of the Insti­tute of Physical Chemistry and Elec­tro­che­mistry at Leibniz Univer­sity Hannover; Dr Theodor Schneller of the Institut für Werk­stoffe der Elek­tro­technik II at RWTH Aachen; Dr Ralf Kreigel of the High-Tempe­ra­ture Sepa­ra­tion and Cata­lysis depart­ment at Fraun­hofer Insti­tute for Ceramic Tech­no­lo­gies and Systems (IKTS); Dr Mariya Ivanova of the Gas Sepa­ra­tion Membranes Working Group at Forschungs­zen­trum Jülich; and Dr Chris­tian Vedder, specia­list in thin-film process tech­no­lo­gies in the Thin Film Proces­sing group at the Fraun­hofer Insti­tute for Laser Tech­no­logy (ILT). In the after­noon, parti­ci­pants engaged in an exci­ting brain­stor­ming session and exch­ange of ideas to further develop thin-film-based tech­no­lo­gies for the produc­tion and use of ammonia.
